After Lolo’s famous lunches, he would always serve coffee, or what we would call espresso. As with everything that was part of this memorable lunch, everyone would comment, “Lolo, ton café est délicieux!” (Lolo, your coffee is delicious!). To which he would reply, “C’était fait avec la chausette de mon grand-père!”….It was made with my grandfather’s sock as the filter! Of course, this was NOT true, but always caused abundant laughter!
